My Top Beach Must Haves!

Summer is almost here, which means beach season is just around the corner! I can't wait to feel the sun beaming on my skin, the sand between my toes and the beautiful water. Going to the beach is something that never gets old. If you're someone who loves the beach, you know it's the most relaxing place to be. Like any other place, you need to be prepared for the beach. You're probably thinking this is a hard task; but trust me it's not. Whether you're going in a group or by yourself there's only a few things you really need.

Floppy Hat 
Wearing a beach hat is on the top. It's a popular beach wear item and it look classy, flirty, and chic. Most importantly it gives you shade from the sun.

Sunglasses 
These are something you can't forget. Sunglasses are cool and stylish; lets get real they block the harsh sunlight!

Beach Bag
Personally I believe a beach bag is a must. It really comes in handy when bringing a good amount of items to the beach. Like a drink or food; lipstick or lipgloss for reapplying; a cardigan if it gets chilly; wipes for sanitary reasons; the list goes on!

Towel/ Blanket
Both towel and blanket is important. The towel is for drying off, after getting out of the water; the blanket is so you do not lay directly on the sand. Walking in the sand is nice and cozy, but laying on it is quite painful... Ouch!

Beach Clothes/ Swimwear 
When people think of going to the beach, they associate it with bikinis. But you can wear whatever you want. You're going there to relax and have fun, it's not a contest. You could wear a one piece, two piece, shorts and a tank top, etc. If you're one who's into a cute bikini, try adoreme! I've seen a few commercials from them on tv. So when I checked out their website i was excited. Their very versatile especially with their swimwear. Whether you're petite or plus size they've got you covered! 

Music
I love music and it definitely sets the tone of a great beach day! What's even better is that you can create a playlist specifically for a trip to the beach. Songs I like: California girls by Katy Perry, Something New by Zendaya, Summer Girls by LFO and Pretty Girls by Brittney Spears ft Iggy; just to name a few!

Magazines
What's more fun then laying under the beautiful sun reading the latest gossip! Not everyone is into that, so replace a magazine with a book. 

Flip Flops or Sandals
Everyone has a preference when it comes to footwear at the beach. I love a nice pair of sandals, if I'm not in the mood for it I will got with a simpler look. Flip flops are easy to carry around and not just for the beach either. You can easily throw them in a bag!

I am a person who loves trying different face masks, they are very refreshing. More importantly my face feels soft and looks hydrated. Valentia products are natural and this is something that has become very important to me, when searching for skin products. This skin detoxifying clay mask is a, natural kaolin and botanical based mask that gently removes excess dirt and oil. At the same time it deeply cleanses and exfoliates the skin, to reveal softer/ smoother skin. It draws out impurities to improve skin tone. Most importantly, the clay mask reduces pore size while firming/ strengthening the skin. Like other Valentia products, these are suitable for all skin types and its alcohol/ paraben free!
 

Here's the key ingredients in this clay mask and an explanation of what they mean.

CoQ10:
Responsible for cell production in the human body. This lessens the appearance of wrinkles by, reducing free radical damage and stimulating healthy collagen production.
Hibiscus & Cranberry Fibers:
Both of these ingredients lend their anti aging properties to firm and reinforce the skin. This helps to reduce the creation of more wrinkles.
Astaxanthin:
A powerful antioxidant that repairs collagen production. This combats free radical damage and restores the skin to elastic, bright, and wrinkle free tones and textures.
Kaolin Clay:
Known for its detoxifying powers, the clay minerals draw out impurities. Because of this your skin tone is even and the pores tighten for firm skin.
Plant Stem Cells:
The French developed constituent naturally decreases the level of pro aging toxins. This works to soothe the skin, reduce redness, and improve evenness.
Spirulina:
A botanical stimulant full of vitamins and minerals that hydrates the skins surface, to contribute tissue regeneration of the skin.


The clay is like a tan color and there is black specs in there as well. The clay is very smooth and it's very easy to apply. One thing I really love about the directions is that it tells you how you should take the mask off. This is a good way to show the product is beneficial and that it is actually working! When the mask dried I will admit that I was a little nervous. I honestly didn't think it would come off easy. I was wrong though, it was really easy.

When I first apply the clay mask on my face, I get a tingling feeling. But as time passes it goes away and I do not feel it anymore. In my opinion I believe that when its first applied it starts to activate. Then while the mask dries it's very soothing. Because this need to stay on the face for 15 to 20 minutes, I have to set out sometime out of the day. Like getting up an extra 15 to 20 minutes early. I love using this product and it's by far my favorite from Valentia. I have only used it for a little white but, so far it has made a difference for me and my face. My skin feels smoother and I do not experience a lot of redness on my face!

5 Ways to Start the Morning off Right

I'm not an expert nor am I telling how to start your morning; these examples are how I start my morning. I find that these things get my day started on a good note and I am much more energized throughout the day. Also drinking enough water keeps you hydrated and it might help with tiredness!

1. Exercising:
Exercising is a great way to start the day. It's so motivating and I enjoy it; I have so much energy during the day because of it! I usually eat breakfast after I exercise. But I make sure to eat something simple before the gym. For example, it can be a banana, a nutrition/ protein bar, an applesauce, or some toast with jelly.

2. Writing in a journal:
Using a journal is something I recently started doing. It's very helpful for me to write down all my ideas and plans. This keeps me organized and its easy to remember!

3. Eating breakfast:
This really is the most important meal of the day. It's fuel to help assist you, in getting the day started. Unless you're like me and you exercise first thing in morning.

4. Breathing exercises:
For me I like to take a few minutes to just breathe in and out. It helps me to concentrate and focus on the things I need and want to accomplish.

5. Self motivation:
I like to tell myself that today is going to be a good day. Sometimes when I'm not in the mood first thing in the morning, my day tends to go that way. So I am grateful to be here, so I try to think/be positive!
